OSOGBO, Nigeria – December 15, 2025 – TechPro Institute successfully concluded the landmark Osun Tech Exchange 2.0, a transformative summit that brought together government, academia, industry, and over 240 of the state’s brightest students. Held at the Leisure Spring Hotel under the theme “Beyond Knowledge: Inspiring Tech Innovation Across Osun,” the event marked a pivotal moment in Osun State’s commitment to building a sustainable, homegrown technology ecosystem.

A New Era of Collaboration: Government, Industry & Academia Unite

The event stood out for its strong government presence and deep academic engagement. In remarks delivered on his behalf, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Osun State, affirmed the government’s alignment with the initiative, describing it as “a critical step in preparing our youth for the future economy.”

This commitment was echoed by representatives from leading institutions including Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Redeemer’s University, Adeleke University, Fountain University, and the Federal Polytechnic Ede, highlighting a shared vision for practical, industry-aligned education.

The event was formally hosted by Dr. Olalekan Kabir, whose leadership set a tone of excellence, collaboration, and purpose.

From Ideas to Impact: Student Innovators Take Centre Stage

At the heart of the Exchange was a vibrant project exhibition where student teams from five institutions presented solutions to real-world challenges. The winning projects demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and technical depth:

🥈 2nd Place: Obafemi Awolowo University — Alert Hub, an innovative community alert system

🥉 3rd Place: Adeleke University — Skulight and Nocos Website, platforms enhancing educational access and services

Strategic Insights and Ecosystem Advocacy

The keynote sessions set a forward-looking agenda for ecosystem development. Dr. Rasheed Adebiyi, Director of NITDA at Fountain University, delivered a compelling address on the importance of interconnected tech ecosystems, commending TechPro Institute for creating “a wonderful and much-needed platform that bridges learning with real-world application.”

This was complemented by Mr. Abayomi Oluyede, Director of Operations for Sub-Saharan Africa at Vesti AI, who shared practical frameworks for scaling tech operations across emerging markets.
